Follow this 5-day countdown to the date of cessation of smoking.
5 days before the date Quit
· Think about the reasons for quitting.
· Tell your friends and family you are going to quit. This creates pressure for you to go to the end.
· Stop buying cigarettes.
4 days before the date Quit
· Notice when and why you smoke.
· Think about other things, to hold in your hand instead of a cigarette.
· Think about the habits or procedures change. The cost of an evening at the cinema, not the bar may be an example.
3 days before the date Quit
· What will you do with the extra money when you stop buying cigarettes?
· Think about who lend a hand when you need help.
2 days before the date Quit
